Does your personal vision need glasses?

When you look to what you want in life, is your vision clear? Can you see, feel, and taste your vision; or is your vision cloudy, vague and incomplete?

The clarity that you bring to your vision is your greatest tool to make that vision a reality.  Many of us have goals and most of us go through life achieving goal after goal, but never feeling fulfillment or achieving our ultimate dreams. It is your inner vision that leads you to set and accomplish goals that are focused on where you want to go. You want to bring the details of your dream into crisp clean focus. You also need to create an unmistakable big picture vision of the path you need to traverse to make that dream a reality. What are the things you do that matter, and what are the things you do that do not contribute to your life path? What gets in the way of you being what you want to be in life?

Your vision needs to be more then just a idea. An example; (DREAM JOB) you want to buy a new home. It is a great goal, but it is not strong enough to get you to make a move, to take the next step to make it happen. It is not clear enough to help you take the risk, and overcome friends and family telling you to live with what you have. You may need additional education to achieve your dream. Is your vision clear enough to help you make that next step?

To overcome these obstacles you need to create a 20/20 vision of your dream.  Can you picture your new house, what color is it? How many bedrooms does it have, where is the furniture, what kind of wood is it made of? Where is the kitchen table, how many chairs are at the table? Do you have an office, what does it look like? Is there a desk, if so where is it? When you look out the window what do you see, are there trees, a lake? Now go even further, how do you feel as you look out that window. Who is there with you, what are you talking about, how do you feel.  The clarity equals accomplishment.

We have learned to spend our lives as doers, making things happen. Do not let this prevent you from taking the time to bring your dream into a clear 20/20 vision. Take the time to discuss your vision, draw it if you can, write about it, anything to bring it into focus. Be as specific as you can, then put it where you can look at it everyday. Now write the tasks you will need to accomplish your dream. Get some help, someone to listen and hold you accountable for your dreams.

Spending time working on your vision is one of the most important steps you will make in achieving your dream. Once you have your 20/20 vision, use it to free yourself to achieve it. It will motivate you to make the difficult decisions and changes; it will make your dream a reality.  A weak quickly conceived vision will erode in your mind, but a clear carefully built vision will keep you moving forward; making the steps you need to succeed.
